Short Break

These past few weeks I've been getting busier and busier as school approaches.

I'm starting school on the 7th and I picked up my student package on Monday. It was quite depressing going back and seeing my classmates. I mean, it was nice, but it was a reminder that I'll be seeing them again very soon- which means the end of summer.

Anyhow, I'm working at my city's exhibition and it's been pretty fun- though very tiring and boring at times. I'm also working on my portfolio for university and that's taking up my free time, so I haven't been able to focus on anything else. Once school starts I'll be working on our yearbook since I'm one of the editors and this year we're planning on getting it done in one semester; in the second semester we'll have the rest on a CD. I'll also be volunteering for this art thing and I'll be trying to improve my badminton skills on the weekends. xD On top of that I'll be needing a 90+ average this year.

It feels kind of over whelming since I'm used to no responsibility, but I'm going to suck it up since it's what I want to do. xD So for now I'll try my best to update as much as I can but I'll be on a break from Astephrisk for a short while.

Just wondering

Okay, so my brother comes into my room picks up a book and asks, "What is this?" I reply, "It's a book, you idiot". What do you think was he referring to when he asked the question? Think of an answer before reading the next part.

So after my reply he starts going off about how I knew that he was asking what the book was about. But I replied "It's a book, you idiot" to point out how his phrasing of the question was wrong. He should have asked, "What is this book about?". Anyways we keep arguing about who's right and I was planning to go onto Yahoo Answers to ask ppl, but realized I needed an account first. >>; Here I am instead. xD So who's right? Is "What is this?" the right way to ask what a book is about? Don't be biased because you know me, but I'm sure I'm right anyways. 8D But seriously, your honest opinion would be great. xD

We get into these type of arguments all the time. I'm surprised he wasn't on the debate team or decided to become a lawyer. xD

Bored on Friday the 13th!

Pardon the weird title. I've got a couple more weeks of summer until school starts. Despite how boring this summer was, it's gone by pretty quickly. Interesting how you get used to to doing nothing.

Anyhow, I haven't been entirely doing nothing. I've been working on my portfolio for university and hanging out with friends.

I'm going to start working soon too, but it'll only last for a few weeks until school starts since it's for my city's fair/exhibition/yearly thing.

Other than that, I made four new textures!

I'm kind of in a designer's block right now. Or maybe a coder's block. Or maybe it's just the designer's block and I don't want to code.

Well, hopefully in the next update I'll have those layouts finished that I've been working on for the past year. (On and off)

By the way, do any of you guys watch Asian dramas? I always found them interesting as pickles, but I guess this summer I've just been really out of it. So far I've watched Hana Yori Dango, You're Beautiful and Hana Kimi. I'm really killing the bandwidth.

I think Hana Yori Dango is my favorite so far. I downloaded the soundtrack and Blue Mind is amazing. Go Youtube it!

Heat Wave

There's been a heat wave for the past week and my house has no AC. I hate waking up feeling sticky despite a fan blowing in my face. Anyways, during this heat wave I couldn't sleep at night because it was so hot (it's suppose to rain tomorrow! Yes!) so I started making graphics and stuff.

Yeah, that's not much, but... yeah... no excuse. >>; Anyways I was also fixing up the site and organizing everything. I even re-wrote the urls so you don't see the .php extension at the end of each page. Other than that, we have a new affiliate! Please welcome Kimberly from Synthoxide! For those who remember or knew, Synthoxide existed a while back but Kimberly closed it for about a year I think and now she's back! I was really excited when I found her site. :D

That's about it for now. I need to go and take another shower.

Opened!

Woot! Finally Astephrisk is opened! I should be studying for my exams right now but... I still have days until then. xD There was a lot of editing and fixing bugs which took a really long time.

Anywho, the content's the same from Musedd, but there is of course new stuff as well. I'm just wondering, does the background look like it's a solid colour? Because I went onto my brother's computer to see how the layout looked, and it looked way too different from what I saw on mine. Which goes the same for my premade layouts. I'm going to have to redo them. Darn it.

Well, that's about it. Give me some feedback!!! xO
